My life in Dubai - So what am I doing in Dubai?

Heyo there! It's Been awhile!  Hope there are still some of you reading this T_T
Haha just kidding. I know you are : P (.. just making myself feel better)
I hope everyone is doing pretty well, well ... it's the new year, so it's a new kick-ass-start, to motivate each self to achieve goals and yadah yadah ... : D I'm motivating you, hello! !!

Wow, my last post has been more than half a year ago, I should hide in a corner and punish myself for not sharing what I've been doing ......
Hehee, honestly, so much has happened, and now I decide to share bits of my life with all of you thru writing again. :)

Last year has yet been an amazing year! I am grateful, blessed and proud of what I have achieved so far, but I know myself that there are so much more that I can do and I want to, and I will pursue them as much as I could with my pair of hands!

Firstly, I have officially graduated from university, but the interesting thing is, I'm pursuing something almost completely out of what I studied! I graduated in the bachelor of Accounting and Finance, and honestly, I was pretty confused at that time with what I should pursue in life - to go corporate or not.
Most of you my friends, should know that for the past a year and a half, I have been exposed to modelling, and then led to the opportunity to be in the Youtube scene, acting for some of the biggest Youtubers in Malaysia, and also appearing in commercial shoots and print ads in between.
I would humbly say that these opportunities that I've gotten have unexpectedly changed my life.
Never would I have thought of pursuing acting and modelling, but through opportunities and experiences, here I am, pursuing all of these as a career.

So here's the question most of you are curious about, what am I doing in Dubai now?
Well, it's another opportunity that I've gotten, and I'm truly blessed and truly, trying to absorb and learn as much as I can.
To make it short, I have been recruited and hired to be a model for Abercrombie and Fitch, currently working specifically for Hollister, a brand owned by A & F, in Dubai.
It's amazing how it works here in the middle east where they recruit associates from all over the world!
I have now Colleagues from Countries, ranging from Spain, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Canada, Portugal, to Philippines, and the list goes on! :)
I do believe it's an opportunity of a lifetime, especially being able to work with people from all around the world, learning the differences and uniqueness of every culture.

So here it is, our store will be officially opening February 20th in Dubai Mall. (The biggest mall in the world, next to Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world!)
Man, it reminds me tons of our very own KLCC and the Petronas Twin Tower.

I have been here for two weeks already, and A & F has Been treating us better than I could ever imagine! Well, store official training starts next week, but guess what I have been doing for the past 2 weeks?

Besides some health / cultural training and medical checkups, A & F has been spoiling us, starting from great accommodation overseeing Burj Khalifa, a day trip to the desert safari, to beach parties, and so on!

Allow me to present to you, my stay in Dubai :)

That is what I see everyday from  my balcony. If you do not already know, the slim and sleek building is Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

Here are some of my flatmates on our very first night when we arrived!

Here's how my living room sorta look like: P

And that's the view I have from my room. Pretty sweet I would say. :)

So how do I find Dubai so far? It is definitely a rich business hub with more expats than locals, and astonishing, modern architectures everywhere! The architectures are definitely taken to the next level of skycraper building designs and technology, and almost every second you see smexy SUVs (my favorite Evoque is literally everywhere !!) and fast cars. Very clean, very safe city. I could boldly say that crime rates are extremely low, so nobody steals here! Back to sharing with you places that I've been so far, the first one would be the infamous Desert Safari! It was my first time visiting a desert, so I was pretty excited: D

The desert drive adventure in the SUV was super thrilling and exhilarating! Somehow reminds me of a roller coaster ride, but on the desert, super cool!

That's me with some of my associates witnessing the sunset here at the desert. Breathtaking view!

The picture above is almost a complete picture of all of us! We are a big group, big family! :)

And we ended the night watching belly dancers do their thing, having arabian food at the desert camp! Truly new and unforgettable experience :)

Next, we were invited to a magazine event at a restaurant / bar called Zengo at Le Royal Meridien Hotel, and it has to be my very first event which I attended in Dubai.

Picture of us girls at the event.

We were also invited to the Blue Marlin Ibiza Beach Party which was pretty sick. I've heard so much about Ibiza, never been there, but I guess this was pretty close to that?

Bus ride with my colleagues before we reached the beach party :)

Everyone was just super chilled out, enjoying drinks and music, partying till the sun comes down.

Well, I come to conclude that it definitely seems like a beach life in Dubai!

Had some volleyball fun with my team, and well ... i suck at volleyball so I did most of the watching than playing :(

And of course, enjoying the beach's life again!

But my favorite beach so far has to be Barasti Beach here in Dubai!

Look at everyone just enjoying the sun, sunbathing, enjoying good music and some drinks!

And I was enjoying my read as well :)

Other than beach bumming and parties, we try to have an active lifestyle as well, so there we were, joining the Spartan race training: D

Training at an open field, overseeing spectacular buildings and the sea, work out never seemed better! heheh.

Had a time of wall climbing with my friends too! :)

Lastly, a group shot with my associates infront of the Hollister store at the Mall of Emirates.
Ours would look pretty similar, opening in Dubai Mall. * Excited *

Here's our new instagram account! : D

Feel free to follow us on instagram, and stalk them good looking people! We're new! :)

So all of the above pretty much sum up my experience in Dubai so far! I would say that I'm truly blessed and grateful to have this experience thus far :) If you do not already know, I am a wanderlust and my dream since young is to have the opportunity to travel the world, explore and literally breathe into the different cities in the world, if that made sense to you? Haha!
And I would say my prayers have been answered, and I'm still in disbelief about how many countries I had traveled within the past 2 years!
Having the opportunity to study in the UK, traveled around Europe, to Hong Kong and Tokyo last year, and even got to realise my dream to travel to Europe again beginning of this year. (Italy and Santorini !!! (My dream destination!))
And now my journey in Dubai. What more could I ask for? I just have to thank God everyday :) It will be my pleasure to share with all of you my journey, and hopefully I could also blog about my travels in Italy and Greece too!

Till next time. Lotsa love!

Langkawi Island #myNXmini

Hey, another travel post yet again :)
This time, a trip nearby just in Langkawi! Honestly, I actually didn't expect much from this island itself, as a matter of fact, Langkawi has lost its charm ( I thought), especially compared to Tioman or Redang which are known for their crystal clear sandy beaches. Well, I was pretty darn wrong, I utterly enjoyed the trip!
So why Langkawi? Unmistakably, the cheap flight tickets. Well, just like Air Asia's tagline, everyone can fly (affordably!) Heeeh.
From all the traveling that I've done, I've learned one crucial thing, doesn't matter where majestically on earth you go, the most important thing is ...
Company, in other words, the travel buddies :)
It makes a whole lot of difference, and traveling with good company is the key to great quality time!
Of course, there are other things to take into account, but great company is the road to a great trip, indefinitely.
Secondly, the most crucial thing is the memories that could be kept. You know, it is always comforting to look through my old albums and photographs taken, reminiscing the memories that I had, a good trip down memory lane.
As the saying goes, pictures capture moments that are gone forever, but the moments captured in photographs stay.
Hence, camera is obligatory!!
What more a good and handy camera that I have, the Samsung NXmini :)
Thank you Samsung!!! How I still love this camera !
Here I am, to tell a short story of my trip to Langkawi, through the beautiful pictures taken from my NXmini.
Well, the NXmini is known for its great selfie features, but I tell you, it's more than just that!
Still very impressed with with the largee 1-inch 20.5MP BSI CMOS sensor, it delivers stunning high resolution photos.

I stayed at Dayang bay resort, a pretty affordable service apartment with delightful view!

Look at that, can't be more ready to have a relaxing holiday with that view from the entrance of Dayang Bay. :D

My guy friends trying to dive with style haha!

Lovely lovely view, captured with myNXmini, what more can I say?

I spell h-o-l-i-d-a-y .

View from my room. Pretty sweet, waking up to this every morning :)

What's Langkawi if not visiting the beaches? Here we go, here we go!

Witnessed the sunset everyday, such is life! How I love the our mother nature, sheer beauty.

Had to capture pictures while the sun is up! Sun, sand, beach, love love love!

And how convenient it is to take selfies with myNXmini, i absolutely love the smile-and-shoot mode that detects smiles :D
No need to press any buttons hehehe, selfies made easy :P
I might have spammed this smile mode atad too much.... hehehe.

Abit too much that the boys had to make fun of us girls lols

That's a complete picture of my travel buddies and myself :)

Haha, there's always someone to bury when playing with sand at the beach :D

A collage of some pictures captured :D Best thing is, myNXmini has wifi, so it's super easy to instantly transfer pictures from the camera to my phone, collage, filter, anddd insta!
Great for first world problems :P

Look at this cute lil thing we found! May sound silly but it amazes me how define all living things are, no matter big or even can't be seen with the naked eye.  Best part is Samsung NXmini could capture it.. plus points for my camera!!! Look at those eyesssss... adorable!

Well, I really know how to enjoy life :P or i would say, I really appreciate simplest things in life, packet of chips, Asahi, sun, sand, beach.. and I feel paradise already. :D

We also booked one day in Langkawi for island hopping, renting a boat for ourselves :)
I thank God for great weather, all 4 days in the island, and it was all sunny and nice.

I must say, that's an awesome jump shot !!

We went to the lake of pregnant maiden to have more swims, haha!
Love the view of the mountains at the lake much.

More selfies! Seriously love the quality of the selfies <3

Haaah, and boys being boys.... boys trying to be funny...

Oh, and what is traveling without food... and good food!

I honestly LOVE the food in langkawi, affordable and delicious!
It was pretty easy for us to search for good food, just a google away, and man, was I satisfied with google hahaha.

I honestly felt that the seafood I had here was better than the ones I had in Sabah!

Okay, last but not least, mama can't we leave without the signature eagle picture?

                                                                I guess we couldn't haha!

Have to show you, again, the beautiful sunset captured !

It was a great, fulfilling trip.

Langkawi is perfect for a time to unwind!
